Chat Probability

Chat Probability: are two people chatting on WhatsApp?

Pick any two contacts you track. Chat Probability lines up their online activity and looks for the pattern a conversation leaves behind: both online at the same moments, again and again. The result is an estimate of how likely they are chatting with each other. It never reads a message, and it never claims to.

How Chat Probability works

A WhatsApp conversation has a rhythm: one person comes online, the other follows, both stay for a while, both go quiet. ChatWatch records those online and offline moments for every contact you track. Chat Probability takes two of those records and measures how often they coincide, over the same days and hours.

Two people who are online at the same times far more often than chance would produce get a high probability. Two people whose activity never lines up get a low one. Everything in between is shown as what it is: a likelihood, not a verdict.

What it can and cannot tell you

Overlapping activity has innocent explanations too: same time zone, same job, same group chat. Chat Probability is a reason to look closer, not a conclusion.

  • Can: show that two contacts are consistently online at the same moments, and how strongly.
  • Can: compare any two numbers you track, whether or not they know each other.
  • Cannot: read messages, see chat lists, or confirm that a conversation happened.
  • Cannot: see anyone who hides their online status from you in WhatsApp.

Why this is not a "WhatsApp chat tracker"

Pages promising to show someone's chats or chat history are describing spyware installed on the other person's phone, or they are not describing anything real. ChatWatch does neither. It works from your own WhatsApp account, records only presence, and the other person's phone is never touched.

If what you actually want to know is whether two people are talking, presence is often enough. That is the question Chat Probability is built for.

Getting Chat Probability

  1. 01Start the 3-day free trial and add both contacts you want to compare.
  2. 02Give the recording a day or two. The more activity there is to compare, the more meaningful the result.
  3. 03Open either contact and choose Compare with. The probability updates as new activity comes in.

Common questions about Chat Probability

Can I see who someone is chatting with on WhatsApp?

Not their chats, and not their contact list; no tool can do that from the outside. What ChatWatch can show is whether two contacts you track are online at the same moments unusually often, which is what Chat Probability measures.

Do I need to track both people?

Yes. Chat Probability compares two online histories, so both contacts must be tracked in your account. Add them from your contacts list or by number.

How accurate is Chat Probability?

It is exactly as accurate as the pattern it measures: how often two people's online moments coincide. A high result means a strong overlap, not a confirmed conversation. Use it as a signal.

Is Chat Probability in the free preview?

No. It unlocks with the 3-day free trial and the paid plan, together with NightWatch and tracking for more contacts.
